2. ACID MONDAYS - Interstellar Cake
3. ACID MONDAYS - Interstellar Cake (Richy Ahmed remix)
4. ACID MONDAYS - Interstellar Cake (subban remix)

Returning to their label home of Circus Recordings for their second full EP, long time friends of Yousef Acid Monday’s provide an EP primed for the dancefloor. Opening with Blazelnuts, a Thunderous club banger sure to grip anywhere from El Row to DC10. With Bold percussion and low-slung bassline, the track transcends your average club tune with aggression and force.

Next up, ‘Intersteller Cake’ leads with a dark spoken vocal, paired with an unmistakeable groove set to rumble floors worldwide. With remixes from both Richy Ahmed and Subb-an, 2 well known facilitators of the underground club culture, the package possesses everything from acid to soul, aimed mainly at the club environment.

Acid Mondays
Formed somewhere in the 5th dimension, Acid Mondays is the cosmic coalition of fellow psychonauts Negghead and Lex Wolf. Brought together by their love for fat beats, inter dimensional travel & cups of tea; they are on a never-ending journey exploring inner and outer space.

They recently put out a string of exciting releases on labels such as Warp, Rockets & Ponies, ONE Records, & Last Night On Earth. They were also asked to remix Lakker’s ‘Milch’ for the legendary R&S Records. That and their remixes of Mood 2 Swing on King Street received big support all summer from Marco Carola, Seth Troxler, The Martinez Bros, George Fitzgerald, & D’julz to name a few.
As well as appearing on Boiler Room and guesting on B.Traits show on BBC Radio 1 they’re also playing at parties around the globe such as BPM Festival, Fabric, Tenax, Warehouse Project, Elrow and Circoloco at DC10.
Forthcoming releases include EPs and Remixes for Yousef’s ‘Circus Recordings’, Guy Gerber’s ‘Rumours’ and Scuba’s ‘Hotflush Recordings’.

Richy Ahmed
Hailing from South Shields in the north of the UK, Richy Ahmed continues to make regular appearances at events across the UK as well as touring internationally, cementing his rise a globally acclaimed DJ and as a result been polled in Resident Advisors Top 100 DJs for the last two years running.

2015 has seen Richy perform at a host of events in the UK, Ibiza and beyond. Alongside his Paradise residency at DC-10 he has had dates playing for Circoloco and Music On at Amnesia this summer. Not to mention a myriad of festivals appearances at the likes of Glastonbury, Sonar, Hideout and Parklife. A key member of the Hot Creations family, Richy is an A&R for the label and has been main resident and one of the curators for the line ups for Paradise at DC10 over the last few years.

Bringing us up to today and its been a busy year already with a number of remixes on Suara, Truesoul, ending 2015 with this release on Circus…

Subb-an
From his beginnings as a live artist, Subb-an spent years honing his DJ skills paid off in the form of regular appearances behind the decks at prime clubs and festivals including fabric, Panorama Bar, DC10, Warehouse Project, D’Edge, Womb,
Output, El Row and Stereo.

A dynamic producer with a firm understanding of what it takes to move a dancefloor, Subb-an’s music has more than a little mystery about it. His productions are deep, raw, soul heavy and although always achingly relevant, glance backwards through a long lineage of house masters - his influences are sited as Craig Richards, Villalobos, Ryan Elliot, Zip, Professor Inc and Delano Smith. As a DJ, his sets pass between house and deep techno, balancing swing, groove and potent bottom end notes.

He is also a keen collaborator, having shared studios and production credits with Seth Troxler, Tom Trago, Visionquest,Tuccillo and most recently with Christian Burkhardt, Eddie Richards and Acid Mondays– watch this space.
