The first in the series of Circus Recordings unreleased material RELEASES comes two of last summers most talked about, universally supported and successful global anthems, Free Spirit & Cala El Verano where requested to be refreshed and remade by someone called Pete Tong for his Ibiza mix compilation. So after a hugely successful first summer in Ibiza Kydus felt it would be an apt way to close out such an incredible season on the island for him by releasing the his private reworks.
Kydus draughts in the talents and the ever growing notoriety of The Angel to add a much more harmonic and classical approach to his sophisticated re do of the poignant Free Spirit
Together with his protégé Kydus, Yousef got to work on Cala El Verano, reworking last summers collaboration with Dj Dep. The new arrangement is cleaner, more driving and dynamic, and comes in two new original and a thunderous dub.
Detlef makes his first appearance on Circus Recordings, after requesting to remix Cala el Verano, and excellently add’s a vibey almost 80’s Todd Terry twist onto the original.
2015 has been an unstoppable year for Kydus. With his fresh take on the classic sound of underground house and techno, his tracks “Transatlantic, What You Feel, Jupiter Rising†and his remixes for Eric Prydz and Felon have touched every major dj globally, as well as endless Radio One plays and the converted “essential new tuneâ€.
