A demo by Luke Brancaccio sent last summer to Yousef has encouraged the Circus Recordings label owner to take yet another music side step in his imprints repertoire, Yousef felt there was almost nothing like it in modern day house & techno. Its an intriguing, hypnotic and emotive ride, culminating on the most bold of statements, WAKE UP!! (Is it aimed at the crowd or the world in general thought Yousef...)
Following on from their debut success of Oblivion last year on Bedrock. Luke and Simon present their second single ‘Wake Up’.
‘Wake Up’ is composition of contrasts:
A pulsating three-time bass-line, un-nerving horns, skidding cellos, eerie atmospheric shards of disturbance, and shimmering arpeggios that weave through a lattice of overdriven glistening analogue spirals, all combine to lull you into a false sense of transcendental inner-peace, only to be brought back to earth by the abrupt yell of ‘Wake Up!’
